Contains the following type of materials: photographs. Covers the following wars: World War II (WWII), Korean War. Contains photographs of the following military units and organizations: 63rd Infantry Brigade; 6th Infantry Regiment; Seventh (7th) Army. General description of the collection: The Bernd G. Baetcke photograph collection consists of a small collection which cursorily follows his career. There are no photographs of his WWII and Korean War service. There are photos of units of the 63rd Infantry Brigade and aerial views of the Louisiana Maneuver areas prior to WWII. Numerous photos are found of his period in the Berlin Brigade, circa 1955. There are several photos of activities of the Officers' Wives' Club in which Baetcke's wife was active. Also, there are twelve signed photos of general officers with whom he served.

Bernd G. Baetcke was a career United States (U.S.) Army officer who attained the rank of colonel before retirement. He served in both World War II and the Korean War.
